Safetype finds and covers 35 kinds of personal information, including names, emails, phone numbers, card and ID numbers, and addresses, using a machine-learning model that runs inside this tab.

It's designed for English. Other languages may get only partial redaction (emails and numbers are usually caught; names and addresses may be missed), so don't rely on it for non-English text.

Your text is never uploaded, anywhere. The only download that ever happens is the model itself, once. After that, redaction is pure on-device computation.
